CFI's 3rd Anniversary

CFI celebrated its 3rd anniversary last weekend. See the photostream slide show...

Reaching two of the remotest areas on earth with the gospel this Christmas... A team of 10 set out from CFI  to work on a new mission station and evangelise an unreached area of Bauchi State in northern Nigeria. A team of two set out to Chad next week for a pastors conference. We are doing this without supply, but gospel outreach and reaching those in need is the will of God. Please pray for a great response to the gospel among the unreached and a great encouragement among the pastors for fruitful outreach in Chad, and for supply of needs to flow this Christmas.

CFI Receives NTA Award

At a dinner meeting last Saturday night CFI received the Nigerian Television Association Partnership Award. This is for Gospel outreach in northern Nigeria on both television and radio.

On Sunday the 29th of November CFI met with its lawyer, chiefs and landowners to sign the contract and purchase 30.5 acres of land for its permanent site.

Christian Faith Academy Launched

CFM rented a flat adjacent to our main building to start a crèche and nursery school. This week the flat is being fitted out, with a play ground outside. This is after Peter and Val Cheesman came to Jos to launch the school with a two week summer school. They are also working on our first curriculum.

Pray for Frontline Believers 

This week we met with Hannatu. An extra 7 churches have started in frontline areas where many are dying for their faith. CFM has agreed to sponsor the building of a class for Christian children, the purchase of a block of land for one of the new churches and a bore whole for their main discipleship training centre. Please pray for these precious people who may lay down their lives for Jesus.

CFM also visited an unreached region and preached the gospel over three days. People in this region still go without clothes. CFM is starting a mission station there to plant churches in this region.

Christian Faith Institute, Jos, Nigeria

Peter & Lois Russell, from Peniel Church, UK, visited CFI to lecture and interview students saved out of Islam, despite much persecution. They made a short interview DVD explaining the work of CFI. If you would like a copy sent to you please let us know. They enjoyed their stay very much, loved the student enthusiasm in the face of hardships, and are keen to see how they can let people know what is going on here. CFI Pastors Conference 09

We registered 1,945 delegates for the conference. There were pastors from Jos, from all the districts of Plateau State, from 22 states of Nigeria and from Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin Republic. Missionaries who serve in other nations also attended.

In fact what the Lord did in this conference shocked us all. All came away saying they have never seen it’s like before.

This created havoc and after the meeting people with a lot of zest gathered together on the streets asking for prayer. That is illegal in Egypt, so others panicked and quickly organised an impromptu meeting in a nearby house (meetings are allowed indoors). Then a meeting started in another house in a different district. Then our staff was taken to speak at a pastors meeting...

Muslims Come to Jesus Christ

Christian Faith Ministry’s staff member Henry Diamond arrives back in Jos on the 24th of June. In his last two days in Egypt he spoke in several churches and two pastors meetings. He reached one place by horse and cart. In one of his last meetings the Lord healed a lady blind in one eye, who was due for an operation this week. Her daughter was in tears. God’s blessing opened a huge response and many thousands heard the word of God. Our next trip to Egypt will be for the CFI Pastors Conference 2010.

CFM recently went to Egypt to establish contact with local ministries. We ministered in many churches and denominations. Our book Christ in You is currently being translated into Arabic. An interdenominational Pastors Conference is now being planned for Egypt.

CFM recently held a Pastors Conference in Jos. 2,500 delegates attended from all denominations. It was a first for the region, promoting Christian unity and outreach in the Islamic regions of the Sub-Sahara. The Governor of Plateau State attended and ministered the word of God
