MISSION NETWORK

CFM's Mission Network is our missions arm. We believe that where the Kingdom of God is preached complete communities can be turned around, repent from harmful cultural practises and live in peace with a love for God and for our neighbour.

One of the primary methods we employ is to plant Mission Stations in rural or urban locations that are relatively unreached with the gospel. Here we employ 3-4 missionaries who commit to stay long term in order to plant churches, mentor new leaders and to facilitate and monitor community development projects. Most of these communities are in extreme poverty practising harful pagan and Islamic rituals.

Our missionaries take responsibility for their area commiting to reproduce disciples and Churches through raising up local leaders.

One way we find success here is by approaching shop owners. We have found that as God works in their life they open their shop in the afternoon/evening and bring people they know for small discipleship groups. Through these contacts small churches can be started where disicpled members reach out to others knowing they are equipped to do the same.

Other times we specifically target slums known for drug dealing and prostitution. After disciping some to follow Chrsit they being to disciple others through their contacts in the area. Many peoples lives are turned around. From there we look to help them make a new life where they are not dependant on incomes previously recieved from dealing or prostitution.

God opens up many other opportunities through people of peace we meet in these communities.

In Bauchi State we have two mission stations: one in the north and one in the south of the state.
Through our learning in the field, theological understanding and best global practices in missions we create a number of resources to train our missionaries and use in the field.

On top of resourcing and training our own missionaries we use what we have to help other churches and mission stations. Through this we have created a network of missionaries throughout Northern Nigeria who we help train and eqiup from time to time.

These resources can be divided into two areas:

CHURCH PLANTING MOVEMENTS
Heavily influenced by T4T (Training for Trainers) and other leadership multiplication stratergies. The model of church we promote is small reproducing churches but we accept many expressions.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Our resources are heavily influenced by ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) stratergies. We believe that despite the needs a community has we can promote teamwork and participation through using local assets.
